SIM Canada serves locally and globally by proclaiming the good news of the Christian faith, partnering with churches, and making it easier for Canadians to serve wherever God is leading them to go. As a part of the larger Serving In Mission organization operating across the world, their mission is to make disciples of Jesus in communities where He is least known.

Challenge
SIM Canada’s brand felt outdated and disconnected from its evolving mission. It needed a modern, distinctly Canadian identity that still aligned with SIM’s global presence. At the same time, their website lacked the functionality and flexibility needed to support donors, volunteers, and churches—and was difficult for the internal team to manage.

Insight
SIM Canada doesn’t need to compete with the global brand—it needs to clearly express its unique Canadian voice within it. While the global SIM identity provides consistency and recognition, there was an opportunity for SIM Canada to confidently own its local context. By leaning into what makes Canadian churches, donors, and volunteers distinct, the brand could feel both globally connected and deeply relevant at home.



Solution
We created a bold new visual identity that proudly reflects SIM Canada’s unique voice—modern, distinctly Canadian, and aligned with the global brand. A refreshed logo, custom colour palette, and confident typography brought this to life. We also redesigned the website to be intuitive, flexible, and easy for the internal team to manage—helping SIM connect more effectively with donors, volunteers, and churches. A new heartbeat video clearly and simply communicates who SIM Canada is and why their mission matters.
