HOTOH (Hold On To Our Humanity) is a holistic outdoor retreat designed to reconnect guests with their humanity in a fast-paced, digitized world. Situated on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, the retreat offers more than just a stay; it provides a "culture of presence" through curated experiences like fire-grilled local meal kits and nature therapy rooted in Indigenous wisdom. Every detail is an invitation to wholeness, encouraging a conscious connection with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.

Insight

In a culture where both space and time feel scarce, the sensation of "coming back to life" is the ultimate luxury. Our strategic platform, "Here, Now," addresses this need by grounding the guest experience in the present moment.

We realized that being truly alive in a loud, digital world is an act of defiance. This informed a brand system that balances high-end hospitality with a defiant human sensibility—reclaiming the things that truly matter through connection and intention.

Solution

The visual identity is an embodiment of the physical space, rooted in the unique geometry of the HOTOH domes. We developed a custom font and a suite of organic design elements derived directly from those architectural forms to ensure the brand felt as grounded as the retreat itself. The result is a brand that doesn't just promise a vacation, but provides a specific location ("Here") and a specific moment ("Now") for guests to feel fully awake.
